Event Description

In 2016, we are launching a series of three workshop sessions on new developments for financial reporting and impacts for analysts.
Jointly organised with IASB and Bloomberg, these interactive sessions will allow you to engage in a lively discussion with representatives from the IASB.
This first session will cover IFRS 9:
• An overview of the move to an Expected Credit Loss Impairment model in IFRS 9 Financial Instruments and how this change is expected to impact the key financial metrics (P&L and balance sheet) analysed by investors.
• A discussion about how the new Impairment model and requirements interact with the current banking regulatory backdrop and potential regulatory developments that investors may want to monitor while banks implement IFRS 9.
• A discussion about how investors can use the new disclosures on credit risk to gain additional insights into banks' credit risk management practices.
Bloomberg will provide practical solutions for analysts from its terminal.
