Event Description

Do you understand what's behind the numbers?
This is a crucial question for analysts and investors as they review company disclosures and financial statements in search for the real earnings number.

Join us for the 3d workshop of our 2016 series of three sessions on new developments for financial reporting and impacts for analysts jointly organised by CFA Society France, IASB and Bloomberg.

In this session, representatives from the IASB, CFA Society France and Bloomberg will provide investors with:
• An overview of the IFRS® Standards on presentation of financial statements and how it can help you better understand the information companies present in the P&L.
• A discussion about how the boundaries of IFRS® Standards might affect investor perception about company disclosures, particularly as it relates to alternative performance measures or "Non-GAAP" numbers.
• A practical discussion with members of CFA France about how investors can interpret these disclosures to gain a better understanding about a company's business strategy, and make comparisons across companies and sectors.
• The session is intended to be interactive, allowing attendees to engage in a lively discussion with the speakers.
The session is intended to be interactive, allowing attendees to engage in a lively discussion with the representatives of the IASB.

Bloomberg will provide practical solutions for analysts from its terminal.

Please note that this event will be held in English.
