Join us for the 3d workshop of our 2016 series of three sessions on new developments for financial reporting and impacts for analysts jointly organised by CFA Society France, IASB and Bloomberg.
In this session, representatives from the IASB, CFA Society France and Bloomberg will provide investors with: • An overview of the IFRS® Standards on presentation of financial statements and how it can help you better understand the information companies present in the P&L.• A discussion about how the boundaries of IFRS® Standards might affect investor perception about company disclosures, particularly as it relates to alternative performance measures or "Non-GAAP" numbers. • A practical discussion with members of CFA France about how investors can interpret these disclosures to gain a better understanding about a company's business strategy, and make comparisons across companies and sectors. • The session is intended to be interactive, allowing attendees to engage in a lively discussion with the speakers.The session is intended to be interactive, allowing attendees to engage in a lively discussion with the representatives of the IASB.

Fred Nieto, CFA - Investor Education Manager, IASB
Fred Nieto has been at the IASB since June 2013, as the Investor Education Manager. Fred's role involves producing investor-focused education materials aimed at increasing the understanding of IFRS in the investment community.Prior to joining the IASB, Fred worked as an equity research analyst in London on the sell-side and on the buy-side. His experience includes having covered the European Insurance sector at UBS Investment Bank and Execution Limited, and having covered the global financials sector at a long/short equity hedge fund. Fred earned an MSc in International Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and is a holder of the CFA designation.
Laurent Douillet - Equity Application Specialist, Bloomberg Laurent Douillet is an Equity Application Specialist at Bloomberg since May 2015. He started his career as a sell side analyst at Lehman Brothers (1996-1998) covering the European Telecommunication Equipment sector. Early 1999, he transitioned to the buy side and worked as a technology and Commercial Services analyst at AllianceBernstein (1999-2009) and Lazard Asset Management (2010-2015) in London.
