Please join the CFA Society of Austin for lunch, Thursday, Fedruary 23 at 12:00pm. The Guest Speaker will be Steve Murray, Senior Director, Public Finance, of Fitch Ratings. Mr. Murray will be presenting on the topic of "Texas Schools: Credit Trends and Outlook".
Steve Murray is a Senior Director and manager of Fitch’s Austin, Texas office, which covers local government agencies in the southwest U.S. In addition to his work as supervisor of the six-person tax-backed analytical staff in Austin, Steve is the lead analyst for the cities of Houston, Austin and New Orleans, Dallas ISD, and various other cities, school districts and counties in the southwest. Steve has been at Fitch for ten years. Prior to joining the company, he worked in a variety of banking and public sector positions. Steve has both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs—1983 graduate).
