CFA China Shanghai is taking the initiative to start a Hedge Fund Group(HFG). The mission of CFA Institute is to lead the investment profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of society.

Shanghai is the financial center of China and will be the leading financial center of the world. CFA Shanghai is part of the global community of over 100 thousand investment professionals with CFA designations. We want to play a bigger role by raising standards of professional excellence in the finance industry, championing ethical behavior in investment markets and building an investment industry that serves the interests of investors and society in China.

To achieve this higher goal, CFA China-Shanghai will start a Hedge Fund Group(HFG) that mainly comprise of professionals in the investment industry. Hedge fund represents a unique and dynamic group in the asset management industry, and they’re also famous for their unique market investment and trading thesis or skills that deliver return far superior to traditional mutual funds. We’ll invite professionals from this industry to conduct series of seminars covering investment strategies, analysis on macro economy(domestic and global) and recent developments in financial markets, including areas like Equity, Commodity, Forex and Bond. These seminars will also serve as net working opportunities to asset management professionals in Shanghai.
