 Overview

Administered by CFA Institute, the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Program is a graduate-level, self-study curriculum and examination program for investment specialists.

Established in 1962, the CFA Program sets the global standard for investment knowledge, standards, and ethics. Earning the credential can serve as a passport to entry or advancement within the investment profession around the world. The designation tells clients, employers, and colleagues that the charter holder has mastered a rigorous curriculum covering a broad range of investment topics and that he or she is committed to the highest ethical standards in the profession.

Our society encourages its members to earn the CFA charter and supports candidates by sponsoring CFA exam study groups and other programs. Many of our members hold the esteemed CFA designation.

 CFA Preparation
Education 

CFA candidates preparing to take CFA Level I, II, or III exams and looking for a CFA study group can go to Google Groups and type in cfa society of colorado to find a listing of the various groups that have been established.

Scholarships

The CFA Society of Colorado provides up to ten (10) scholarships per fiscal year.

Typically two scholarships are awarded for the December Level I exam in September and additional (eight) scholarships are awarded (in February) for the summer Level I, II, and III exams each year.  Paperwork deadline due into the society for the scholarships awarded for the winter exam is August 27, 2012.

Candidates may register for the exams.  Those selected as scholarship recipients will be reimbursed by the CFAI.

Please include the application, verification form,  a resume, transcript, and a brief essay on career goals should be sent to Mabel Brown at mabel.brown@gwl.com.
