Mission
The Mission of the Hartford CFA Society is to provide a local presence with which to advance the CFA Institute global values of ethics, education and professional excellence by:
- Promoting awareness and understanding of the ethical standards to which its members adhere;
- Conducting programs that enable members to maintain and improve their professional competence; and
- Providing forums for social and professional interaction.

History
Hartford CFA Society was incorporated in 1952 as a non-profit organization to serve the financial community of Greater Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA. It is affiliated with CFA Institute and it shares a common goal to promote the highest ethical and investment standards. Hartford CFA Society currently has a membership of over 700 members working in over 175 investment organizations.
The Hartford CFA Society conducts high quality programs and disseminates information and ideas relating to investments:
- Presentations made by the management of major corporations to Hartford CFA Society members and their guests;
- Placement listings and publications are available through Hartford CFA Society and CFA Institute;
- Topical programs, accounting and economic seminars, The Foundations of Investments Courses and continuing education courses, conferences and other relevant meetings are also held. Over 60 local events are held per year.
- Active committees offer involvement and services of value.
