September 2017 Luncheon at Drury Plaza Hotel

Don't miss out! This is a reminder to join us for a special luncheon at the Drury Plaza Hotel Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM EDT. This event features Ben Carlson, CFA.

Institutional investors spend the majority of their time in search of the Holy Grail of investment alpha, or risk-adjusted market outperformance. The problem is far too many organizations and funds fail to first understand whether or not they have what it takes to earn alpha or whether it even makes sense to try. Organizational alpha, on the other hand, is something every institutional investor and nonprofit can achieve, assuming they focus on what they can control and what matters.

Ben Carlson is the Director of Institutional Asset Management at Ritholtz Wealth Management.  He has been managing institutional portfolios for his entire career. Ben is also the creator of the blog A Wealth of Common Sense and the author of the books A Wealth of Common Sense: Why Simplicity Trumps Complexity in Any Investment Plan and Organizational Alpha: How to Add Value in Institutional Asset Management.

Complimentary copies of Organizational Alpha will be available at the event on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Compensation Survey Results are In!

CFA Society Indianapolis is excited to release the results of our 2016 Financial Compensation Survey.  This in-depth look at compensation levels in our area was conducted with tremendous help from CFA Society Minnesota.

Click here to access the report.  The white paper summarizes high-level survey findings in an easy-to-read format.  Feel free to share this output with anyone who may benefit from it, including colleagues, hiring managers, professors, and so forth.  Also, if you sent this survey to anyone not involved with CFA Society Indianapolis, please forward this message to them, as we have no way to track who took the survey (it was completely anonymous).

Next year, we hope to expand the survey to include results from neighboring cities such as Cincinnati, Dayton, and Louisville to provide an even more comprehensive report for all of our regional markets.  Thank you for your interest, and continued involvement with CFA Indy!  Please contact us with any questions or feedback.
