Membership of CFA Society Kuwait is open to all members of CFA Institute and candidates in the CFA Program, providing you meet the requirements.
Membership demonstrates your commitment to the investment profession and to the highest standards of ethical and professional behavior.

​The following types of membership are offered by CFA Society Kuwait:
• Regular membership: for individuals with more than four years' experience in the profession, giving you access to a global network of investment professionals. Regular members are entitled to vote on CFA Institute and CFA Society Kuwait issues.

• Affiliate membership: for individuals with more than one year's experience in the profession, giving you access to a global network of investment professionals.

 Regular Membership Requirements

​Applications for Regular membership are administered by CFA Institute.
Based on an applicant's qualifications, CFA Institute assigns one of two types of Regular membership:

Regular membership requirements:
• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or have equivalent education or work experience
• Pass Level I of the CFA exam or pass the self-administered Standards of Practice Examination
• Have 48 months of acceptable professional work experience in investment decision making
• Provide professional reference statements
• Agree to, adhere to, and sign the Member's Agreement and the Professional Conduct Statement
• Pay annual dues

Regular CFA Charterholder membership (required to receive your charter):
• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or have equivalent education or work experience
• Pass all 3 Levels of CFA Program
• Have 48 months of acceptable professional work experience in investment decision making
• Provide professional reference statements
• Agree to, adhere to, and sign the Member's Agreement and the Professional Conduct Statement
• Pay annual dues

 Affiliate Membership Requirements

Affiliate membership requirements include:
• Pass Level I of the CFA Program or pass a self-administered standards of professional practice examination in a format established and approved by the CFA Institute Board of Governors
• Adhere to the OFAC Compliance Policy. Residents of certain countries may be prohibited by law from becoming a CFA Institute or Society Member.
• Provide professional reference statements
• Agree to, adhere to, and sign the Member's Agreement and the Professional Conduct Statement
• Pay annual dues

Tips for applying for Membership 

Do allow several weeks for your application to be reviewed and approved for membership.
Don't rely on your job title as a substitute for describing your job duties.

Fees:
Current regular and affiliate membership subscriptions for CFA Institute are $275.00 and $100.00 for CFA Society Kuwait.
Retired membership subscriptions are $100.00 for CFA Institute and $100 for CFA Society Kuwait.

Please note: Only Regular CFA Charterholder membership gives you the right to use the letters CFA after your name (i.e. John Smith, CFA).
