The CFA Society of Madison serves its members by providing a regional forum for the discussion of investments, economics and finance. The organization promotes high standards of expertise and conduct among investment managers and analysts.

In 1995 the Madison Chapter of the CFA Society of Milwaukee was established with a total of 58 members.  By 1998 the Chapter had grown to 87 members, enough to be admitted with full society status by CFA Institute under the name Madison Investment Management Society.  The name was changed to CFA Society of Madison in 2002.
