A sponsor is someone who is willing to get to know the candidate and submit the paperwork to sponsor for CFAI and Maine CFA Society  membership.

• Know the candidate's professional qualifications
• Have some level of a personal acquaintance with the candidate
• Confirm that candidate’s general qualifications meet the stated requirements to be a member of the Maine CFA Society
