Media Directory

What is the Media Directory?
The Media Directory is an exciting opportunity for the members of CFA Minnesota to connect and communicate with the local community. The Media Directory will be a comprehensive guide of qualified CFA Minnesota members who are willing to answer the phone and share their expertise on a range of specific industry topics. The Media Directory is meant to do what Cliffs Notes did for English Class: help the average guy find someone who can cut to the point and provide a better understanding of finance-related topics.

Who can be listed in the Media Directory?
The directory will consist of members who have had the CFA charter for more than five years and have areas of expertise that they are willing to share by accepting phone calls or taking part in media interviews. We hope to include more than 25 investment-related areas in the directory. Members will be categorized by their area of expertise, complete with a biography and photograph, and will have the opportunity for public speaking experience and coaching.

Where will the Media Directory be distributed?
Directories will be distributed to the media, academia, and others looking for answers from CFA Minnesota members willing to provide them. We’re hoping this multiyear, expansive endeavor to connect CFAMN members with others in the community looking for a better understanding of all things finance will become the definitive repository for local financial expertise in the greater Twin Cities area. 

We are currently seeking members who are interested in being included in the directory. 
The directory is currently in development. It will be released in print format on an annual basis and will be updated regularly on the CFA Society of Minnesota website. If you or someone in your firm would like to be considered for inclusion, please contact our Executive Director, Maren Amdal at executivedirector@cfamn.org.
