How Do I Know What Type of Membership to Apply For?
Membership Definitions
The CFA Society of Minnesota recognizes 4 different types of memberships:
*Regular
*Affiliate
**Student
**Local-Only
* Regular and Affiliate members are those who have been approved for membership with CFA Institute and have also selected the CFA Society of Minnesota as their local society.
** Local-Only and Student members are those who are not members of and do not qualify for membership with CFA Institute and yet want to be members of the local society.
How to Determine What Type of Membership to Apply For
If you qualify to be a member of CFA Institute, you should apply for membership through the CFA Institute website, and then on your MyCFA account select the CFA Society of Minnesota as your local society affiliation. Go HERE for more information or to start your membership process.
If you do not qualify to become a member of CFA Institute and do not intend to become a CFA Charterholder, yet want to receive the benefits of society membership, you should apply for Local-Only or Student membership. Go HERE for more information and to start your membership process.
If you are a member of another society and wish to simultaneously be a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota, you may add the CFA Society of Minnesota as an additional society. You may make this request through your CFA Institute online account.
