As a senior portfolio manager, Mike builds customized portfolios for high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments and corporate retirement plans. The portfolios are tailored to meet each client's needs and may include individual stocks, bonds, ETFs, professional third-party portfolios (SMAs) and non-traditional assets, such as hedge funds and commodities. Mike closely monitors the portfolio asset allocations and sector diversification relative to appropriate benchmarks, as well as internal asset allocation guidelines. He utilizes a wide range of external and internal research to make the best investment decisions for his clients.
Mike has over 25 years of experience working in the financial industry. Mike started working for E.F. Hutton in 1983, and has spent the past 16 years with U.S. Bank. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Thomas and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mike is a member of the CFA Institute and also serves on the board of directors for the CFA Society of Minnesota.
