WHO ARE WE
We support women in the investment community with networking, professional and personal development opportunities, and education programs.
Women’s Advisory Committee provides an opportunity for networking and professional development for women involved in various spheres of finance, including financial advisors, investment managers, consultants, accountants and attorneys. We achieve this objective through a variety of activities including networking and educational events hosted by the Committee and the CFA Society New Mexico, including various initiatives with university students.
 
OUR GOALS AND VALUES
  • Promote professional networking and career development opportunities through programs and strengthening relationships in the investment community
  • Facilitate a dialogue to advance and empower women in New Mexico investment community
  • Provide young women with early exposure to the investment industry,  resources and networking opportunities in their college years and early career
  • Foster personal development through opportunities in leadership, mentoring, education, and philanthropy for women across varying investment professions and experience levels

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
Women’s Advisory Committee invites you to consider becoming involved. Not only do we welcome and need your help, we also want your good ideas. The best way to contribute is through your involvement on a working committee. This is an excellent way in which to really get to know some terrific women. COMMITTEE CHAIR
Regina Gaysina.jpgRegina Gaysina has been a chair of the CFA Society New Mexico Women's Committee since November of 2017.  She is the Vice Presdent at RBC Capital Markets in Albuquerque. Regina focuses on New Mexico clients and actively participates in the development of long-term finance plans and obtaining financings through issuance of municipal bonds for New Mexico universities, school districts, cities, counties and various finance authorities. Prior to joining RBC, Regina worked as an Investment Analyst for Cetera Advisor Networks and as an Internal Sales Consultant with Thornburg Investment Management. Regina holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Ural State University, Ekaterinburg, Russia. She has passed Level I Exam of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program.
 

VICE CHAIR
Holley Mariani.pngCallie Poerio is a Brokerage Operations Representative at Fidelity Investments. She has been with Fidelity since 2017 and has worked with the Transfer of Assets and Mutual Fund Reconciliation Teams. She is now responsible for balancing non-Fidelity mutual fund accounts by working with business partners and ensuring the accuracy of all transactions. Callie is passionate about financial literacy, community involvement, and volunteering at company events in the Albuquerque area. She graduated from The UNM Anderson School of Management with a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. When Callie is away from the office, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and large family gatherings.

Devona.jpgDevona Benavidez joined Acequia Investment Group in June 2017.  She has been a financial advisor for 10 years, specializing in investment planning and discretionary portfolio management.  She is skilled in helping clients organize and execute their retirement income distribution strategy.  Devona enjoys educating clients and has a passion for helping women navigate the financial decisions in their lives.  Devona graduated from the University Of New Mexico Anderson School Of Management with a B.A. degree in Finance.  She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional designation, as well as the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) certification.  


JJMilder.jpg JJ Milder: Over 30 years of institutional investment industry experience, managing client and consultant relationships. Currently a Senior Vice President and member of Callan’s outsourced investment management team since 2010.  Career includes having worked at Fidelity Investments, Putnam and Batterymarch. Relocated from Boston, MA to Santa Fe, NM summer of 2006. Joined the CFA Institute and CFA Society New Mexico in 2012. Became a CFA Society New Mexico board member in 2014 and currently serve as  the society’s president.​


 
murphy.jpgAnna Murphy is a portfolio manager for the New Mexico State Treasurer's Office. Previously, she was a portfolio manager for Public Employees Retirement Association of New Mexico (PERA). Anna began her finance career in private wealth management while working toward her MBA at the University of New Mexico. She also holds a BA from Wesleyan University, Connecticut. Anna passed Level III of the CFA Program in 2018, and she serves on the Women's Advisory Committee and Programs Committee for CFA Society New Mexico. 

 
 

 

Ritz.jpgMolly Ritz, CFP® started her career in the financial services industry in 2006, when she began working with the Ulrich team. She has extensive experience in areas including client support and communication, account administration, and investment performance reporting. She collaborates with the capital markets review team, adjusts portfolio modeling and implements asset allocation and investment manager changes. Molly is actively involved in the investment and rebalancing of client accounts, monitors compliance with investment guidelines, and assists in the development of comprehensive financial plans for the Firm's clients. She also plays an integral role in client relationship management, investment reporting and preparation of requests for proposal.

 


amy_stangel_cfa_website.jpgAmy Stangel is the Chief Compliance Officer and a Financial Planner. She joined Hanseatic Management Services in 2012. Ms Stangel oversees all back office, compliance, accounting and operations and has 20 years of work experience in those arenas.  She obtained her IACCP® (Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional) designation in December 2013, and currently holds the Series 65 license. Ms. Stangel is enrolled in a CFP Board registered education program as part of the requirement to obtain the Certified Financial Planner® certification. She obtained her MBA from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management and BA from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

                               

headshot 2.jpgSarah Valdez is a Client Associate with Merrill Lynch since April 2016, bringing with her 12 years of experience in the financial industry. She started her career in the banking environment before making the shift to investments. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is currently pursuing her Series 7 License. Sarah works with several teams at Merrill Lynch, where her role includes transactional, account and administrative needs. Her experience with banking is a particular benefit to many of her clients. She is the CA Coach for her market, which is an integral role helping lead operations and client service. She currently resides in Albuquerque, NM with her husband and two children. 


Kaely Weimerskirch.jpgKaeley Weimerskirch is signed on with KPMG as an Audit Associate and is currently studying for her CPA exam. She is a recent graduate from the University of New Mexico where she graduated with a BBA in Accounting and Finance. During her time at the university she became involved with CFA Society New Mexico through volunteering for society events. Kaeley also become involved with the university by becoming the president of the business honor society, Beta Alpha Psi, and using that experience to mentor other students and other student organizations such as the Financial Management Association. In her free time Kaeley enjoys mentoring students and also enjoys playing trending video games and spending time with her puppy, Guinness.
