 Introduction of Preparatory Programmes

The CFA Singapore Research Programme helps prepare graduates, young and mid-career professionals for entry level research analysts' positions. It is ideal for anyone seeking employment and a career in investment research or a related field as they work towards a goal of attaining the CFA and becoming an IBF-certified practitioner.
 
The CFA Singapore Research Programme (IBF Level 1 and 2) are developed for the CFA Level 1 and 2 exam candidates respectively. Course participants taking the CFA Singapore Research Programme (IBF Level 2) mostly have some finance or investment sector experience, and prior completion of the IBF Level 1 programme is preferable although not a must.
 
Requirements:
  • Singaporean / Permanent Resident (PR)
  • Minimum attendance requirement of 75%
  • Complete all three (3) modules (A, B & C)​​​​
 
Our semesters start from:
  • January to end April in preparation for the June exam and;
  • July to end October for the December exam​

 Collaboration with Kaplan Financial (Part of Kaplan Learning Institute)

​​In October 2016, CFA Singapore appointed Kaplan Learning Institute to be the exclusive training provider for the CFA Singapore Research Programme Level 1 & 2. CFA Singapore Research Programme Level 1 & 2 are accredited under the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS).​

 CFA Singapore Research Programme

The CFA Singapore Research Programme will cover on the following Competency Units in Financial Markets: Research (Level 1 and 2).
Candidates will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completing the Research Programme Level 1 or Level 2.​

 IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS)

This programme has been accredited under the IBF Standards, and is eligible for funding under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subjected to all eligibility criteria being met. Candidates are advised to assess the suitability of the programme and its relevance to their business activities or job roles. IBF-STS provides 70% funding for direct training costs, subjected to a cap of S$7,000 per candidate per programme.
 
With effect from 1st July 2016, Singapore Citizens aged 40 years old and above are eligible for 90% co-funding of direct training costs, subject to a cap of S$7,000 per participant per programme.
