CFA Society Bahrain was founded in June 2006 as a member society of
CFA Institute. The society was initially named Bahrain Investment Professionals Society (BIPS) with membership of over 50 professionals at inauguration. The name was changed in November 2007 to CFA Bahrain for consistency among society names worldwide. CFA Society Bahrain’s mission is threefold:
Advance the interest of the local investment community by promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity;
Contribute to the development of local capital market and professional skills; and,
Actively promote the CFA program.
Today the society has more than 100 members making it the second largest CFA society in the Middle East. Since inception, the society has brought a number of successful and highly popular events to the local community supported by its alliance with the region’s most prominent financial institutions.
