Elizabeth Martinez, CFA, is a senior vice president and portfolio manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Chicago. Martinez works closely with high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients to develop and implement tailored investment initiatives to pursue their goals and priorities. She brings a seasoned perspective to the capital markets, supporting clients in navigating dynamic investment conditions relative their unique risk parameters, tax circumstances, and personal objectives. A strong communicator and natural educator, Martinez supports clients in making informed decisions about their investments, helping them weigh multiple factors relative to their goals. She is adept in diverse asset classes, including traditional and alternative investments, such as private equity, hedge funds, and private markets. Drawing on the extensive research and investment capabilities of the Private Bank, Martinez strives to help clients mitigate risk during volatile environment. She brings a profound service ethic to her work, pursuing each client’s long-term well-being through her ongoing diligence and responsiveness. Previously, Martinez was a director and senior portfolio manager with BMO Private Bank in Chicago, where she worked for more than 17 years. Passionate in her commitment to education, she has taught at the secondary-school level, earning recognition as an Outstanding Educator.. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has worked in investment management since 1995. Martinez is a member of the CFA Women’s Advisory Group within CFA Society of Chicago. She has served as an Adjunct Instructor in finance at DePaul. She earned her M.S. in finance with Distinction from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and her undergraduate degree in finance with High Honors, also from DePaul.

Aronson has over 20 years of experience with some of Chicago’s most recognized investment firms, including Northern Trust and UBS Brinson Partners. Most recently, she worked with family offices and ultra-high net worth individuals advising them on their investment portfolios, tax and estate planning, and other financial related matters. Aronson holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a member of CFA Institute and a member of CFA Society Chicago. She is a member of the Society’s CFA Women’s Network Advisory Group and previously served as a co-chair for the Society’s Professional Development Advisory Group. She received a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. in finance and economics from the University of Chicago.
