Dr.
David Kelly is the Chief Global Strategist and Head of the Global
Market Insights Strategy Team for J.P. Morgan Asset Management. With
over 20 years of experience, David provides valuable insight and
perspective on the economy and markets to the institutional investor and
financial advisor global communities.
Throughout his career,
David has developed a unique ability to explain complex economic and
market issues in a language that financial professionals can use to
communicate to their clients. He is a keynote speaker at many national
investment conferences and a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and
other financial media outlets.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Asset
Management, David served as Economic Advisor to Putnam Investments. He
has also served as a senior strategist/economist at SPP Investment
Management, Primark Decision Economics, Lehman Brothers and
DRI/McGraw-Hill.
David is a CFA® charterholder. He also has a Ph.D
and M.A. in Economics from Michigan State University and a B.A. in
Economics from University College Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.
Heather Brilliant, CFA
Heather
Brilliant, CFA, serves as Chief Executive Officer and President for
Diamond Hill Capital Management. She joined the firm in 2019, and brings
more than 20 years of domestic and international investment industry
experience to this role. Prior to joining Diamond Hill, she served as
Chief Executive Officer, Americas, with First State Investments. Heather
also spent nearly 14 years with Morningstar, where she served as Global
Head of Equity & Credit Research before advancing to Chief
Executive Officer, Morningstar Australasia. She also has experience
serving as an equity research analyst for boutique investment firms,
covering a variety of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology,
business services, and retail. Heather is a frequent speaker at
industry conferences including CFA Society events around the world and
has appeared in several industry publications. Heather earned a
bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University, an MBA from
the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and serves on the
CFA Institute Board of Governors.
Aaron Filbeck, CFA, CAIA, CIPM
Associate Director, Content Development at CAIA Association
Aaron
Filbeck serves as Associate Director of Content Development at CAIA
Association, where he supports the curation, development, and execution
of the organization’s content strategy and CAIA Charter Program
curriculum.
A demonstrated writer, Aaron has published on topics
such as environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing, liquid
alternatives, commodities, and asset pricing/factor investing. Most
recently, he co-authored a paper, “Performance Assessment of Firms
Following Sustainalytics ESG Principles,” in The Journal of Investing.
Prior
to his role at CAIA Association, Aaron served as a portfolio manager at
The Joseph Group Capital Management, a registered investment adviser
(RIA) in Columbus, OH. Here, he oversaw manager research and portfolio
construction efforts for $500 million worth of high net worth
individuals and institutional retirement plans.
Aaron earned a
B.S. with distinction in Finance and a Master of Finance from Penn State
University. His holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst
(CAIA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Certificate in Investment
Performance Measurement (CIPM) designations. He is President of CFA
Society Columbus and serves on multiple advisory boards for the Sam
& Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend.
