Nancy Benacci has had a successful career as a leader in capital markets and equity research for KeyCorp, a Fortune 500 company. She is an expert in bringing the investor and capital market lens to companies and in developing and implementing strategy. Her leadership of an award-winning sell side equity research group and collaborative, results-driven approach have been nationally recognized. Nancy is a qualified financial expert with significant governance and compliance experience. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Cincinnati Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: CINF), serving on the Audit Committee and Investment Committee.
Nancy served as the Head of Equity Research for KeyBanc Capital Markets in Cleveland, Ohio and New York, NY where she oversaw a group of 100+ individuals. Under her leadership, Nancy directed a team of 33 senior analysts to national recognition by Greenwich & Associates for their coverage of over 600 small to mid-cap stocks. Earlier at KeyBanc, she was a Senior Analyst covering the insurance, utilities, and REIT sectors. During her time as an insurance analyst, Nancy was named by the Wall Street Journal as a top-ranked analyst.
In addition to her public company board service, she is a member of the John Carroll University Board of Directors, and serves as Vice Chair and is a member of the Executive Committee. She has served as Chair of the Finance Committee and as a member of the Investment and Property and Facilities Committees. Nancy has also served on the boards of numerous Northeast Ohio nonprofit organizations. She is a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Governance Committee for Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeast Ohio, a member of University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center Leadership Council, and a member of the Scholarship Board for Gesu Parish.
Nancy is the recipient of the Crain’s Cleveland Business Women of Note Award and the YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence Award. She received the John Carroll University Boler School of Business 50 Finest Award and the University’s highest honor, the Alumni Medal, in 2003.
Nancy holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Nancy is NACD Directorship Certified. She has three adult children and makes her home in Northeast Ohio.
