Title

Future of Women & Finance

Event Description

Despite the advancement our society has made in terms of gender equality, there is still much work to be done to improve the position of women in the workplace, especially in traditionally male industries such as investment management.

In order to further promote diversity in the financial sector and keep fostering networking opportunities among CFA Charterholders, we are launching a "Women in Finance" initiative with several dedicated events planned in the forthcoming months.

The first event of the series will bring together senior women executives, who will share their insights on the gender issue in our profession, their success stories and their challenges.

Our keynote speaker, Barbara Stewart, CFA, will introduce her white paper "Future of Women & Finance" based on 50 interviews with male and female thought leaders around the world.
Céline Fernandez, board member of WINS (Women Initiative for Networking and Success) will follow  with a presentation on their achievements, activities and their global impact.

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with our guests speakers joined by Patricia Donnelly, the first woman president of CFA Society France, Olga Jordão from State Street and Julia Lemarchand, Journalist and Chief Editor at eFinancial Careers.

The event will be followed by the Media Awards for Finance Ceremony, during which we'll distinguish the Best 2014 Publication and the Best 2014 Article.

The evening will end with a cocktail reception.
