Launched
in October 2020, the Insurance Committee aims to promote the
designation within the insurance & pension ecosystem by connecting
CFA members & candidates working within the sector.
Challenging
economic conditions, political uncertainties and volatile financial
markets led insurance companies to navigate through multiple challenges
without losing sight of the future. Among them, combining profitability
with a tenfold increase in impact in order to initiate change and
resolve current societal issues, using the Private Equity fund model is
of growing appetite.
In
this series targeted at Impact Investing and ESG consideration into
Private Equity investments for insurers, participants will hear from
actors working across the sector and share their actions and market
vision around this topic.
Join
us to hear from an asset owner, asset manager for insurers, asset class
specialist from the "Place" who will discuss the latest trends, best
practices and opportunities they anticipate in the future.
More specifically, we will direct the round table discussion on best practices and include discussion on:
1. How to define and measure the impact in Private Equity investments? What tools should be used? What data is available?
2.
In which areas (Environmental, Social, Governance) is the impact most
sought-after and how should insurers reassert their sense of purpose
towards ESG concerns?
3. What are the consequences on the origination of operations and their exits? On which particular segments and sectors?
