Event Description

Climate risks will soon be subject to mandatory regulatory reporting under the consultation on Pillar 3 draft disclosure standards proposed by the European Banking Authority early March.

A Green Asset Ratio is introduced to monitor and compare "green" financing that complies with the EU Taxonomy.

This marks a significant turn in climate change risk & opportunities compared to current voluntary practices under the FSB's TCFD (Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures) framework.

Join us to hear insights from Charlotte Gardes, Deputy Head of Unit in charge of sustainable finance and climate risk, French Treasury (Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Recovery) and
Rim Tehraoui, BNP Paribas' Group CDO and ESG Risks Global Executive, as we discuss:
  • The components of Climate Risk and ESG Pillar 3 proposed disclosures standards, with a focus on data and operational challenges.
  • The French Treasury's initiatives related to the ecological transition and proposals to enhance the transition-related feature of the EU Green Taxonomy.
  • EU and sector-level initiatives to address ESG data, methodological and operational challenges.

This event will be held in French.

***
This event is a joint initiative of the CFA France Advocacy Committee and ESG Committee. For additional insights on climate change topics relevant for the investment profession, please refer to the recording of our climate series.
