Emmanuel Alex Y. Asiedu​, CFA

Emmanuel Alex Y Asiedu is the Managing Director of STANLIB Ghana Limited. Prior to this, he held lead responsibility for Ecobank's investment management portfolio where his team managed retail and institutional portfolios.

Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Master's degree in Economics from Queen's University in Canada. He is a Private Investors for Africa (PIA) fellow, a Yale World fellow and a member of the CFA Institute, the global organization at the leading edge of investment management practice.    

He is currently the president of the Ghana Securities Industry Association, the umbrella body for capital market operators in Ghana and President of the CFA Society, Ghana. He also chairs the national advisory board of Impact Investment Ghana.

Alex is passionate about bringing about change in Africa and is involved in a number of social impact programmes and activities that aim at creating positive health and educational outcomes. He has lectured as an adjunct at Ashesi University, a leading Ghanaian university and works with the Share Foundation, a local not-for-profit that supports the educational needs of Ghanaian children.  He is a Trustee of the Gaede Foundation supporting local communities with educational and health grants and providing start-up funding for micro-businesses.

He also serves on international advisory board of the West African Centre for Cell Biology and Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) and is a member of the management committee of the School of Social Sciences, University of Ghana, Legon.

Nana Wiafe Boamah, CFA

Nana Wiafe Boamah is the Chief Investment Officer of Axis Pension Trust, where he works on Strategic Asset Allocation for the Trust's assets and works with external managers to implement investment policies.  Prior to AXIS, Nana spent 3 years as the head of Corporate Finance at Algebra Securities Limited a boutique investment banking firm specializing in sell-side capital raising.

Nana was also formerly a Senior Market Risk Analyst at Standard Chartered Bank with key responsibilities of interest rate and liquidity risk management across the Bank's banking book.  Nana graduated with a BSC degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana, an MPhil degree in Finance from the same university. He is a CFA®️ charterholder. Nana enjoys watching basketball and is a devoted runner.

Ivy Hesse, CFA, CIPM

Ivy has over 15+ years of diverse and rich experience in the Investment Banking Industry in Ghana as well as other regulated African capital markets. She's a passionate advocate for improving the investment industry across Africa by challenging investors to question the status quo and demand the best; and helping investment firms rise up to the challenge by being globally competitive, ethical and locally relevant.

Ivy has been at the forefront of advocacy efforts for the adoption and compliance with investment industry standards and ethics in Ghana, specifically advocating for use of the Global Investment Performance Standards and working with industry firms and regulators to that end.

She gained her experience working with leading financial services firms, SEM International Associates Ltd and Databank Group as a Research/Financial analyst and investment advisor and dealer in the Brokerage division, with trade execution experience in over 13 regulated capital markets across Africa. She is the founder and principal consultant of the firms and has been at the forefront of championing the adoption and compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) in Ghana for the past six years.

She is a CFA charter holder, a CIPM certificate holder and a member of the CFA Institute. She is also a graduate of Economics/Geography of the KNUST, a Registered Securities Dealer. She has also served as an Independent Trustee on seven (7) Corporate Pensions Trustee Boards in Ghana and is also an instructor for the Ghana Securities Industry Certification courses.

Deborah Armah Akotey, CFA

Deborah is the Chief Investment Officer of Databank Asset Management Services. Having worked in Databank for over 12 years in various capacities, she has extensive experience in investment banking. This includes in-depth knowledge of asset classes, investment products and strategies that generate consistent alpha.

Until her appointment to this role, she was the Head of Institutional Business, responsible for managing a team to execute the discretionary mandates for institutional investors. Deborah was also the Head of the Fixed-income subcommittee of Databank's Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Institutional Business, she was the Fund manager for Databank Balanced Fund. She has also worked with the Financial Control team of Databank Group in various capacities and has been involved with the financial control functions of Epack, Ghana's largest equity mutual fund.

Deborah holds an MSc (Accounting & Finance) from Manchester Business School in the UK, and a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting option) from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon. She is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a CFA Charterholder.

Isaac Boamah, CFA

​Isaac is a results-focused institutional asset management investment leader with over 10 years of progressive experience in the field. He leads the investing team at IC Asset Managers and oversees the asset allocation, risk management and performance monitoring of all client portfolios.

Prior to joining IC Asset Managers, Isaac worked with the Ghana Cocoa Board as the company's first investment officer with a total asset of more than USD 500m under management. Isaac is a founding member of the CFA Society of Ghana and currently serves as the chairman of the nominating committee.  He plans to retire at age 50 to pursue his interest in nature-photograph.

Isaac holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town and he is also a member of the CFA Institute.
