The Forecast Dinner is an annual event hosted by CFA Society Greece. The Forecast Dinner is a prestigious event that attracts CFA charterholders and other members of the local finance and investment community, including industry professionals, regulators, academics and media. The annual agenda is determined based on current trends and issues in the Greek and European markets and includes presentations from economists, regulators, investment professionals and/or financial consultants, followed by panel discussions and Q&A.

Join us at 7:00 pm on 23 February, 2021 for our first virtual Forecast Dinner. The event will feature outlooks fo the European and Greek markets for 2021 and will be hosted by CFA Society Greece's Vice President, Violeta Spyropoulou, CFA.

Guillaume Jaisson | Global Investment Research, Goldman Sachs 

Guillaume Jaisson is a strategist in the Global Investment Research Division at Goldman Sachs International. He joined the firm in 2016 and was promoted associate in 2019. As a strategist, Guillaume focuses on European and Global equities. He works on countries, sectors and thematic research products. Guillaume has recently published a paper on global renewables "The Green Theme — A Global Implementation". Guillaume earned a Bachelor in Economics from La Sorbonne (University of Paris 1) and  did the Programme Grande École at Emlyon Business School.

​Ilias Lekkos | Chief Economist – Assistant General Manager, Piraeus Bank

Ilias Lekkos is Chief Economist, Head of Economic Analysis and Financial Strategy at Piraeus Bank Group. He is also the Chairman of ELSTAT's Advisory Committee, a member of the Hellenic Bank Association's Scientific Council and a member of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research's Board of Directors. Mr. Lekkos started his career at the Bank of England in 1998, in the Financial and Capital Market Analysis department, followed by the Treasury Unit and finally in the Banking Supervision Division.  He then moved on to HBOS' Treasury Services and then S&P's Structured Bond Department. He returned to Greece towards the end of 2005 and worked for Eurobank-EFG until May 2007.  He studied finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business and earned a Master from University of Warwick and a PhD from Lancaster University.

Join us at 7:00 pm on 26 February, 2020, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (115 Syggrou Ave.) for a four-course dinner accompanied by engaging discussions about the future of finance and forecasts for the year ahead.  The dinner will be hosted by CFA Society Greece President, Loukas Dedes, CFA.  

CFA charterholders attending the event will receive 2 Continuing Education Credits. 

Guest Speakers 

Gary Baker, CFA  |  Managing Director EMEA, CFA Institute

Gary Baker joined CFA Institute as managing director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in September 2016. Based in London, Baker aims to strengthen the voice of CFA Institute to institutions, member societies, universities, regulators, and institutional partners in the region. He is responsible for supporting CFA Institute policy development in EMEA, advancing the impact of advocacy efforts, and supporting EMEA member societies in delivering value to members and candidates. He also has a key focus on increasing charterholder commitment to continuing education.
 
Baker is responsible for Advocacy and Research functions across CFA Institute, incorporating Financial Reporting and Ethics Education, including the Financial Analysts Journal, the Future of Finance initiative and the Research Foundation.
 
Baker has been engaged in financial market investment research for the past 30 years with a highly successful track record in a wide range of sell-side strategic, analytic and management roles. He previously worked at Merrill Lynch for 20 years in a number of global roles, including as managing director, Chief European Equity Strategist, and most recently was Deputy Head of Research with Jefferies in London. During his career, Baker has been a leader in country, regional, and global roles across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States.
 
He holds a master's degree in geography from Cambridge University and earned his CFA charter in 1997.



Daniel Loesche, CFA  |  Ιnvestment Director, Credit, Schroders

Daniel joined the Credit team in October 2019 as investment director. He started working for Schroders in April 2015 as investment strategist in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for developing investment ideas and strategies. Prior to joining Schroders, Daniel worked at BHF-BANK and was engaged in asset allocation and portfolio construction topics. Previous career stations include DJE, Main First and the LGT Bank. 

Daniel holds a master of science in economics from the University of Lugano and is a CFA charterholder.


Kalligeros.pngDr. Konstantinos Kalligeros  |  Director, Commodities, Commerzbank AG

Konstantinos helped kick start Commerzbank’s commodity desk in 2006 and now runs commodity structuring, helping corporate clients with commodity price risk management, structuring and commodity finance solutions. He sits on the bank’s product development committee for sustainable finance and has previously served on the board of the UK Structured Products Association (UKSPA). He has also led, together with McKinsey, a number of lean transformation initiatives in the bank. Since 2013, he is also a visiting lecturer at EDHEC Business School in Nice, France. Prior to Commerzbank, Konstantinos was working with BP, and before that as a research associate at MIT. 

He studied engineering at NTUA and holds a MSc and PhD from MIT.
