Deborah is a Managing Director in Cambridge Associates' Arlington office. She specializes in manager research for U.S. and Canadian equities, index funds and alternative beta. She is also Cambridge Associates' research lead for Women & Minority managers and Gender Lens investing. Deborah is very interested in mentoring young women in the area of finance.
Deborah is also a volunteer for Girls Who Invest. And has appeared on conference panels covering the topics of Women in Investing, Women & Minority managers, Gender Lens Investing, Alternative Beta & ETFs, and Active versus Passive.
Prior to rejoining Cambridge Associates in 2011, Deborah co-founded Great Oak Investment Management. As Director of Research and Chief Compliance Officer, Deborah oversaw the firm's research efforts on small-cap equities and managed the firm's compliance program. Before starting her own firm, she was a research consultant at Cambridge Associates, where she identified and monitored equity managers and funds. In addition, she was an associate at Willamette Management Associates, where she valued small businesses. She also spent eleven years as a managing associate at Nathan Associates Inc., where she conducted financial research projects.
