Title

The State of Alternative Investments, A Global View

Event Description

CFA Society Ireland presents this seminar in conjunction with CAIA

The world of alternative investments continues to grow and change. Nearly USD10 trillion in assets have flowed into the alternative investment industry in the last fifteen years. Now alternatives are starting to show up in mutual funds and ETFs.

What might the future hold?

Which asset classes are likely to most quickly grow assets?

Which are more likely to decline in importance over time?

Delegates will receive a hard copy of Alternative Investments: A Primer for Investment Professionals, co-authored by Dr. Nelson J. Lacey and recently published by CFA Institute Research Foundation. This publication is designed as a primer and reference document for institutional asset allocators investing in alternatives. It aims to help the reader better understand the characteristics, challenges and uses of the various alternative asset classes in the context of a well-diversified portfolio.
