Outline
The eighth global sovereign asset management study by Invesco represents the views of 139 chief investment officers, heads of asset classes and senior portfolio strategists, working within 83 sovereign funds and 56 central banks (with assets totalling US$19 trillion under management). This year, the Study offers insights into a number of key themes, including talent, gold and climate change. It also reveals how sovereigns and central banks were positioned in the lead up to the COVID-19 pandemic, and indeed have found opportunities during it.
Speaker Bio
Rod Ringrow leads the Official Institutions group at Invesco, and is based in the UK. He has 30+ years of experience in international finance, including 20 years focused on the Central Bank and Sovereign Wealth sector. Prior to joining Invesco at the start of 2020, Rod held a variety senior roles with State Street in their global relationship management and sales group, and was Managing Director of State Street's operations in the Netherlands from 2004 to 2007, the Senior Executive Officer of State Street MENA LLC from 2008 to 2013 based in Doha, Qatar, and the Head of State Street's office in Dubai from 2013 to 2015.
Previously Rod worked at Standard Chartered Bank in the UK and India, and with BNYM in London. Rod started his career with the Beecham Group in their corporate treasury team. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Cass Business School in London and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Southampton.
