Outline

The International Accounting Standards Board's (Board) now suggested improvements to the information companies provide in the management commentary section (frequently referred to as "MD&A") of the annual report.
In this webinar, IASB Board Member Rika Suzuki, Yulia Feygina, IASB Technical Staff, and Matt Chapman, IASB Technical Staff, will discuss this proposal.
It will provide an overview of the proposed new framework that would enable companies to bring together in management commentary the information investors and creditors need to assess a company's long-term prospects.
The framework has been developed building on the innovations in narrative reporting such as the rising role of intangibles and the role that ESG factors play in driving corporate value. Once finalised, the framework would replace IFRS Practice Statement 1 Management Commentary.
This webinar will provide an overview of the board's suggestions while also covering the following.
• Where can users learn more about the Board's consultation?
• What feedback is the Board specifically looking for from users?
• How can users provide their views on this consultation?
