Government has launched reforms to foster growth and self - reliance through "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat".

Mr. Akash Singh Rana (Co–Country Head (North & East), Nippon India Mutual Fund)
A seasoned financial services professional with over 30 years of progressive experience across mutual funds, banking, and financial services. Proven track record in managing large retail markets, leading multi-state operations, and driving business growth through strategic planning and people leadership. Adept at building and nurturing high-performing teams, developing distribution networks, and achieving consistent market leadership in highly competitive regions. Experienced in managing complex portfolios and building robust business frameworks across India.
- Co–Country Head (North & East) – Present: Responsible for business development, sales
strategy, and operations across North and East India.
- Zonal Head – West 2 (Maharashtra, Gujarat, MP, Goa, Chhattisgarh): Led one of the largest zones, managing regional heads and driving growth across five key states.
- Senior Regional Head – Gujarat: Spearheaded business expansion in one of India’s largest equity markets.
- Regional Head – Uttar Pradesh: Managed India’s largest retail market, driving strong business momentum.

- Established Nippon as a dominant player in multiple regions through sustained growth.

•Managing and supporting the Product Strategy, Sales and Marketing activities for the International Business vertical.
•Successfully doubled the International Business AUM from ~USD 1 Bn. to ~USD 2 Bn. by raising new assets across geographies.
•Achieved ~50% growth in International Business AUM from March 2023 to March 2024.• Raised USD 32 Mn fresh inflows from a Japanese Pension Fund.
•Activated new geographies like Latin America, Switzerland, Korea with regular flow of Institutional money into UCITS fund.
•Have partnered with two more AMCs in Thailand from previously working with a single AMC
.•Strategized and conceptualized the upcoming UCITS Small & Mid Cap fund with the team.
•Successfully launched the Small & Mid Cap fund in Japan in conjunction with Nissay AM Japan with USD 50 Mn seed investment.
•Managing the investor and partner relationships including our most esteemed Sovereign Wealth Fund client with whom we are managing USD 1.1 Bn.
•Regular Co-ordination with the NLI Expat and the NAM Japan team on our existing and new products for sale in Japan.
•Launched and managing the NAM Singapore LinkedIn page and the new NAM Singapore website.
