Outline JAPAN Week & GX Weekを振り返る
Various discussions will be held in Japan for the first half of October as part of the JAPAN WEEK and GX WEEK. However, it may not be easy to keep up with all the events alongside your day job. Therefore, CFA JAPAN will hold a webinar, inviting overseas investors and experts who are in Japan at this time, as well as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to share what discussions were held, important points they saw and future challenges. Then, panellists will also talk about the efforts in their home countries. The panellists are from various regions including London, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In this webinar, you will be able to hear not only the topics raised from the past two weeks, but also the trends currently taking place outside of Japan.

Bio
Mr. Kenichi Konuma (Director for Climate Finance Policy, Environmental Finance Office, GX Policy Group, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI))
Mr. KONUMA Kenichi had worked at Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) from
2009 to 2023. He had mainly dealt with the underwriting of loan insurance for
oversea natural resources projects, the maintenance of insurance policy including
the amendment of the International Trade and Investment Insurance Act for creating
new insurance products and the maintenance of internal system at NEXI.
He has joined METI in July 2023 as Director for Climate Finance Policy at GX Finance
Promotion Office / Office for Opening the GX Promotion Organization Industrial
Science, Technology and Environment Policy Bureau(then, changed to the current title
due to organizational restructuring).
He has been working for GX promotion such as the promotion of transition finance, the
issuance of Japan Climate Transition Bonds and the foundation and supervision of GX
Acceleration Agency.
Ms. Justine Leigh-Bell (Executive Director, Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute)
Justine is the Executive Director at the Anthropocene Fixed Income Institute, an investor focused non-profit organization based in London and Stockholm where she leads the strategic direction and management of AFII in supporting global asset owners and fund managers in aligning their fixed income portfolio strategies to net zero.
Formerly Deputy CEO of the Climate Bonds Initiative, Justine has a track record in building international non-profit organisations with a strong climate impact footprint, most notably in the development of the green bonds market working closely with governments and financial institutions.
Ms. Nana Li, CFA (Head of Sustainability and Stewardship, APAC, Impax)
Nana joined Impax in 2022 and is responsible for leading Impax’s sustainability and ESG research and advocacies in Asia-Pacific. Nana researches, prioritizes and organizes ESG engagements with Impax’s investee companies and regulators, manages external sustainability and ESG-related inquiries, and assists in the ongoing development of the Impax proprietary ESG-analysis and methodologies.
Ms. Xinying Tok (Head, Southeast Asia, Carbon Trust)
Xinying joined the Carbon Trust in 2021. She currently leads and grows the Carbon Trust team in Singapore that works across Southeast Asia. Prior to the Carbon Trust, she has worked that last 16 years as a banker, an ESG investment consultant, and a climate change philanthropic grant maker in Southeast Asia and China. She currently leads projects on energy efficiency de-risking, green finance training, and coal transition.
