Justin Ong Kean Hu, CFA

President 


​Justin Ong, CFA, is currently a Partner with Deloitte Southeast Asia, leading the financial and regulatory risk practice. He has worked with over 50 financial services institutions in the regions, across Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa. He supported Board and C-suites in their transformation programme, focusing on capital, finance, risk, compliance and audit related matters. 

Within CFA Society Malaysia, Justin served as the Director on the Board since 2015, became Vice President in 2017 and ascended as President in 2019. He was the pioneer for the CFA Society Malaysia's Career Day as well as the Society's Representative in Asia Pacific Research Exchange (ARX). In the past, he was recognized as the finalist of the Asia-Pacific CFA society leader volunteer of the year. Justin holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from the University of Malaya and he is currently a PhD candidate in Islamic Finance with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance ("INCEIF"). He is also qualified in Bank Treasury Risk Management, a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) by the Global Association of Risk Professional ("GARP") and a Chartered Accountant by the Malaysia Institute of Accountant (“MIA”).

Muhammad Faridq Rashid bin Ridzuan, CFA

Vice President and Member Relations

​Muhammad Faridq, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager in government linked investment company, where he joined in 2015 as an Equity Analyst, subsequently rising to the post of Quantitative Research Analyst prior to assuming his current position. As a keen volunteer in CFA Society Malaysia, Faridq served as the Director for University Relations on the Board from 2017-2019, in charge of maintaining the University Relations and provided trainings to students with the university partners.

He has also led the sub-committees for Career Day, University Ethics Challenge and University Relations, managing the program of the events and overseeing the responsibilities of the other committee members. Faridq graduated from University College London with a Bachelor in Economics (Hons) and he now holds a Capital Market Services Representative's License ("CMSRL").

Jeannie Tai Hui Jing, CFA

Secretary and Employer Relations 

​Jeannie Tai, CFA, is currently with BDO Capital Consultants, specialized in advising on corporate finance, capital market transactions, Initial Public Offerings, Mergers & Acquisitions and valuation services. Prior to this, she worked with the Securities Commission Malaysia, under several capacities, including evaluating corporate proposals relating to equities, covering IPOs, reverse take-overs, special purpose acquisition companies and rights issue.

She also worked closely with other capital market regulators in the ASEAN region to conduct research and analysis on regional and international capital market initiatives, such as on green finance, FinTech and long-term financing. Jeannie first joined the Board of Directors in 2017, serving the CFA Society Malaysia in membership management and communications related matters. Jeannie graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Finance.

Jin Yoong Chong, CFA

Treasurer and University Relations

Jin Yoong Chong, CFA, is the co-founder of StudyLisa.com, a mobile education platform and Director of Ogos Learning, a company that specializes on education for the financial industry. Prior to forming Ogos Learning, he headed the structured products development team in AmBank's Global Markets division and was a fixed income dealer in OSK Investment Bank. 

Jin Yoong is actively engaged with CFA Society Malaysia since 2013. He served on the Board as the Director for University Relations and Investment Research Challenge from 2013-2015 before holding the Secretary position from 2017-2019. He also plays an active role with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (formerly IBB M), as an Examiner for various examinations programs (i.e. Chartered Banker, Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia Certificate ("PKMC") & Investor Protection Professional Certification ("IPPC")), and instrumental in the curriculum development of the aforementioned programs. Aside from these, he authored and co-authored three textbooks used in the aforementioned programs.Jin Yoong graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), in addition to being awarded with the PKMC with Distinction.

Ahmad Nabil bin Nazri, CFA
Regulator Affairs

​Ahmad Nabil, CFA is presently attached to Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia and is in charge of the organization's financial reporting function. Prior to this, he worked with the Securities Commission Malaysia in the field of Enforcement, and with Bursa Malaysia as a Surveillance Officer responsible for the monitoring of the day-to-day activities of equities market.

Prior to joining the Securities Commission Malaysia , he was attached to QuantePhi, a boutique corporate finance advisory firm advising client's corporate finance endeavors including but not limited to debt and corporate restructuring, valuation services and Mergers & Acquisitions ("M&A") deals. Amongst the sizeable deals he was involved in significantly include the Proton-Geely partnership signed in 2017. Nabil graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) majoring in Actuarial Science.

David Meow Li Hwa​, CFA

​David Meow, CFA, has extensive experience over 26 years spanning across business valuation, financial markets and risks, and financial reporting. His diverse exposure and experience in the capital markets as well as being a CFA charter holder and qualified Chartered Accountant allow him to provide valuable training and consultancy services in areas including investment management and company valuation, to government-related regulatory bodies and financial institutions in Malaysia. David is currently associated with several programmes initiated by Permodalan Nasional Berhad Institute. He is also the Lead Moderator for the Capital Markets with the Financial Accreditation Agency ("FAA"), being the subject matter expert in capital markets.

David is one of the pioneers whom actively volunteers with CFA Society Malaysia, especially on matters relating to candidate affairs. He served on the Board as a Director for Programming from 2017-2019.  David graduated from University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Business and subsequently attained MBA (Herriot-Watt University) and Master of Law (Queen Mary University of London). He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) by the Global Association of Risk Professional ("GARP"), a Management Accountant and Chartered Accountant by the Chartered institute of Management Accountant ("CIMA") and Malaysia Institute of Accountant ("MIA") respectively.

Eunice Tee Yu Ngee, CFA
Asia Pacific Research Exchange (ARX)

​Eunice Tee, CFA, is a fund manager at Libra Invest Berhad. She charts her experience in fund management and equity research conducting fundamental research of stocks and sectors covering various industries mainly Technology, Consumer, Telco, both locally and regionally, specializing in Malaysia, Hong Kong/China, Indonesia with exposure to the rest of ASEAN.

With her expertise in equity research, she is serving on the Board currently as the Director of ARX and the Organizing Chair for CFA Institute Research Challenge.  Eunice graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce and holds a Capital Market Services Representative's License ("CMSRL").​

Je Hui Su, CFA​
Public Relations

​​Je Hui Su, CFA, is currently a manager with Deloitte Risk Advisory, specialized in credit risk modeling and compliance advisory for financial institutions, covering Basel Credit Risk Modeling, IFRS 9 Impairment Modeling and compliance review. Prior to joining Deloitte she was attached to Ernst & Young Advisory Financial Service Risk Management team.

Je Hui has been volunteering with CFA Society Malaysia since 2016 on various initiatives – the Society's newsletter editorial, university roadshows and Career Day for four consecutive years. On top of that, she is also a volunteer with Lean In Malaysia as a Masterclass event committee member and FutureLab as an industry mentor.  Je Hui graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Master of Science in Applied Economics and Curtin University for her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant, Australia.

Neo Chun Keat, CFA

Strategic Alliance

​​Neo Chun Keat, CFA, is currently a Digital Product Specialist in Maybank. In his current capacity, he is leading the development of a comprehensive ecosystem of innovative financial product and advance digital channel to serve better the Malaysian SME and consumers. He joined Maybank in 2011, specializing in Market Risk Management, covering the full spectrum of market including both traded and non-traded market risk. He was instrumental in the various initiatives to improve and integrate the market risk reporting over the extensive regional footprints of the Bank which garnered multiple achievement awards from The Asian Banker in 2015 and 2017 respectively. 

Prior to joining Maybank, Neo started his career in KPMG Business Advisory practice, advising financial institutions on various facets of Basel implementation. Neo graduated from University of Malaya with a degree in Actuarial Mathematics and Finance. Besides being a CFA charterholder, he is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) by the Global Association of Risk Professional ("GARP") and a Chartered Banker by AICB and Chartered Banker Institute.
