Jin Yoong, CFA, is the co-founder and Director of Ogos Learning, a company that specialises in education for the financial industry. Prior to forming Ogos Learning, he headed the structured products development team in AmBank's Global Markets division and was a fixed income dealer in OSK Investment Bank.  

 

Jin Yoong has been actively volunteering with CFA Society Malaysia since 2013 and ascended as President in 2021. He served on the Board as the Director for University Relations and Investment Research Challenge from 2013-2015 before holding the Honorary Secretary position from 2017-2019. In 2019-2021, he held the Honorary Treasurer position as well the Director for University Relations. 

 

He plays an active role with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (formerly IBBM), as an Examiner for various examinations programs (i.e. Chartered Banker, Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia Certificate ("PKMC") & Investor Protection Professional Certification ("IPPC")), and played a significant role in the curriculum development of the programs above. Aside from these, he authored and co-authored three textbooks used in these programs as well. Jin Yoong graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and was awarded the PKMC with Distinction.




Faridq, CFA, is a Fund Manager / Global Strategist, Global Strategy & FX Team in a government-linked investment company, where he joined in 2013 as an Equity Analyst, subsequently rising to the post of Quantitative Research Analyst before assuming his current position. He is also currently an advisor at Jewel Digital Ventures (Subsidiary of PNB). 

 

As a keen volunteer in CFA Society Malaysia, Faridq served as the Director for University Relations on the Board from 2017-2019, maintaining the University Relations and providing training to students with the university partners, before ascending as Vice President in 2019. He has also led the sub-committees for Career Day, University Ethics Challenge, and University Relations, managing the program of the events and overseeing the responsibilities of the other committee members.  

 

Faridq graduated from University College London with Honours in Bachelor of Economics, and he holds a Capital Market Services Representative's License ("CMSRL"). 




Paik Ling, CFA, is currently the Head of Group Non-Traded Market Risk at Maybank and the newly elected Honorary Secretary of CFA Society Malaysia. Prior to her current role, she was the Head of Balance Sheet Risk Management, GALCO Division at Hong Leong Bank in 2013 before taking the role of Chief Risk Officer in 2018. She also had 13 years of experience in Standard Chartered, joining as a Risk Analyst and ascending to the Country Head, Group Market Risk role. She has more than 20 years of experience in Market Risk Management, analyzing risk across different portfolios in different banking institutions.  


Paik Ling is one of the featured CFA Charterholder in the Society’s Career Portal 2020/2021. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance, and Accounting, and is a certified Chartered Banker from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB). 




Je Hui, CFA, is currently a Senior Manager, leading the Data and Analytics practice c with Deloitte Business Advisory. Before joining Deloitte, she was attached to Ernst & Young Advisory Financial Service Risk Management team. 

 

Je Hui has been volunteering with CFA Society Malaysia since 2016 on various initiatives – the Society's newsletter editorial, university roadshows, and Career Day for four consecutive years before ascending as the Honorary Treasurer in 2021. During her term in 2019-2021, she launched the Future Leaders Mentoring Program and was the committee chair for the virtual Career Carnivals organised in 2020 and 2021. On top of that, she was also a volunteer with LeanIn Malaysia and is currently an industry mentor with FutureLab.  

 

Je Hui graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Master of Science in Applied Economics and Curtin University for her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant, Australia. She is currently a Postgraduate Certificate (Business Research Methods) Candidate at Heriot-Watt, United Kingdom.  




Dominic Hua, CFA, is currently the Senior Manager, Commercial in YTL Power International Bhd overseeing the business development, new projects, and investments, including mergers and acquisitions, asset management, and greenfield project development. He also serves as a Director and Board Member for several subsidiaries under the YTL Group of Companies. Prior to this role, he was a Senior Project Engineer at YTL PowerSeraya Pte Limited (Singapore)  involving in the development, construction, and commissioning of a co-generation combined cycle power plant and demolition of a steam heavy fuel oil-fired power plant.  

 

Dominic was one of the industry mentors during the 2021/22 CFA Institute Research Challenge. He graduated with First Class Honors in Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from University Tenaga Nasional and is a certified Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. 




Nabila, CFA, is currently a Credit Risk Manager at Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd. Prior to this role, she held the position of Banking Supervisor at Bank Negara Malaysia, analysing financial institutions’ risk profiles, risk management processes, compliance to applicable laws and regulations, adequacy of capital, and the sustainability of earnings to ensure earnings long term viability.   

 

Nabila was one of the forum speakers for “How Millennial Women are Redefining Leadership at Work” during the CFA Society Malaysia 2019 Career Day. She graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance.




Jeff is currently a Corporate Finance Consultant at Baker Tilly.  He has many years of experience in Corporate Finance and various types of engagements, which cover Business and Company Valuations, Financial Due Diligence, Financial Modelling, Independent Advisory, Business Strategy Projects and sell/buy-side advisory for both public and private sector companies. Jeff has been actively engaged as a volunteer with CFA Society Malaysia since 2018 with events such as Research Challenge, Career Carnival, and Ethics Challenge. He is the recipient of the Special Mention Volunteer Award in 2020. 

 

Jeff graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) with Honours in Bachelor of Finance and is currently an MBA Candidate at Quantic School of Business and Technology. He holds a Capital Market Services Representative License (CMSRL) issued by the Securities Commission to advise in Corporate Finance exercise. He has been awarded Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA)® Certification and Advanced Financial Modeller (AFM) designation issued by Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) and Financial Modelling Institute respectively. 




Chia Yih, CFA, is currently Vice-President of Traded Market Risk at AmBank Group. Previously, he was a Capital Market Manager at Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia, a federal statutory body under the purview of the Ministry of Finance. Chia Yih also has 3 years of experience in risk management from his role at RHB Investment Bank Bhd, Ernst & Young, and AmBank.  

 

Chia Yih volunteered with CFA Society Malaysia as a speaker during the “Alternative Investments in the Age of Uncertainty” webinar in 2020. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Multimedia University (MMU). He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst by the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA). 




Ly See, CFA, is currently the Director of Client Business at TGCC Capital Pte Ltd, where she provides wealth advisory solutions for TGCC M3 Momentum Fund that managed by Swiss Asia Financial Services Pte Ltd. Prior to this, she was an Investment Specialist at OCBC Bank in 2017, before moving on to her next role as an Industry Analyst at CFRA Research (formerly known as Standard & Poor (S&P) Malaysia) in 2020.  

 

Ly See has been volunteering with CFA Society Malaysia since 2019 on various events – 2021 Mentoring Program, 2019 & 2020 CFA Society Malaysia Career Carnival, and 2019/20 & 2021/22 CFA Institute Research Challenge. In 2020, she was invited as a guest speaker during the “Tips to Gear Up your Exam Preparation” webinar. Nevertheless, she was also one of the winners of the BQuant Hackathon that co-organised by CFA Society Malaysia and Bloomberg in 2021. 

 

Ly See graduated from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC) with Honours in Bachelor of Finance and Investment. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and an Advanced Financial Modeller (AFM) by Financial Modelling Institute. She also owns an Investor Protection Professional Certification (IPCC) from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers in 2018.
