Join us on April 25 for a 3 hour negotiation workshop, where you’ll build your confidence through practicing negotiation skills. Moving forward in your position doesn’t always happen just because you want it to. Learn how to increase your value by asking for what you want.

  • recognize negotiation opportunities and plan strategies

About the speaker:

Lori J. Abrams is an award winning faculty member in the Department of Strategic Management at the University Of Minnesota Carlson School Of Management and is a licensed mediator and a highly respected speaker. She is an Organizational Development consultant specializing in negotiation and the communication of change.

Dr. Abrams earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Minnesota with a research focus in healthcare.  At the University level she teaches courses in Negotiation Strategies, Psychology of Management, Strategy Process and Implementation. Outside the University she has extensive experience as an organizational consultant and trainer.  Her recent consulting efforts have been in the following areas; Communication and organizational change, conflict management, change management, negotiation, and gender and diversity. A partial list of clients include: Xcel Energy, Best Buy, Metropolitan Council, 3M, Grand Metropolitan, Minnesota Public Radio, University Institutional Review Board, and Airlines.
