As Chief Risk Officer, Erica Bergsland, CFA is responsible for a consistent oversight framework that incorporates both a risk management and values mindset. She leads Securian's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Portfolio Strategy, reflecting the view that ESG risks and opportunities should be integrated into investment practices. Erica is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Securian AM.
Erica is on the board of Carlson Funds Enterprise at the University of Minnesota and is a member of the Financial Leadership Committee of the Women's Foundation of Minnesota and the Investment Committee of the Girl Scouts River Valleys.
She is a CFA Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Minnesota. Erica is a past participant in the Star Tribune's annual Investors' Roundtable and was previously recognized as a Top Woman in Finance by Finance and Commerce.
Craig Johnson, CFA, CMTCraig W. Johnson, CFA, CMT is a managing director and senior technical research analyst and directs Piper Sandler's technical research group. Johnson joined Piper Sandler in 1995 as an analyst in the firm's private client research. He offers frequent technical commentary on the broader market and individual stocks. Johnson earned a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in finance and marketing and a Master of Business Administration degree from Drake University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst™ and Chartered Market Technician designations. He is an active member of CFA Society Minnesota and is the co-chapter chair of the Minnesota Chapter Market Technicians Association. Elizabeth M. Lilly is Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President for The Pohlad Companies. She oversees the public and private investments for the Pohlad family and provides leadership and management of their investment team.
Beth began her career with Goldman Sachs in 1985 in New York. In 1988, Beth joined Fund American Companies in Greenwich, Connecticut where she worked as an investment analyst under the tutelage of Bob Bruce and Warren Buffett learning the merits of value investing. In 1997, she co-founded investment firm Woodland Partners, which focused on investing in small capitalization equities. In 2002, Woodland Partners was acquired by GAMCO Investors where she went on to serve as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager of the $1.4 billion Teton Westwood Mighty Mites Fund and as a member of the value portfolio management team. In 2017, Beth founded Crocus Hill Partners to focus on investments in small and micro capitalization equities.
Beth received her BA in Economics from Hobart/William Smith College where she graduated with High Honors. She received her CFA designation in 1989. She serves on the Board of Directors for Apogee Corporation, The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and Lakewood Cemetery.
