We are once again gathering a group CFA Society Nashville Members to spend a day volunteering with Junior Achievement (JA) at their Finance Park program.
JA is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering students with the skills they need to own their economic success as they grow up. For the JA Finance Park program, volunteers spend the morning supporting a small group of upper middle school students as they complete a personal budgeting simulation. As students move through the “stations” of the activity, volunteers share about their own career journey and facilitate conversations around personal finance. This program exposes students to a range of careers and encourages healthy financial habits. Note: No prior experience working with students is required; JA provides training at the start of the session to ensure volunteers are prepared.
