CFA Society Belgium cordially invites you:
Systemic Risk Protection:
Is the Picture Complete? Did We Over-Regulate?
Join CFA Society Belgium at the National Bank of Belgium on 12 April 2018 to enjoy a lively discussion with Vítor Constâncio, Vice-President of the European Central Bank,
and Sir Paul Tucker, Chair of the Systemic Risk Council and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, on the state of systemic risk.
The Systemic Risk Council is sponsored by CFA Institute. It is a private sector, non-partisan body of former senior government officials and financial experts committed to addressing regulatory and structural issues relating to global systemic risk. The financial and economic crisis led to a wave of regulatory measures aiming to mitigate systemic risk and strengthen the stability of the financial system. Ten years on from the global financial crisis, economies are recovering strongly, financial markets have soared, yet market volatility has returned. Is now the time to revisit the reforms put in place after the crisis? Is the financial system resilient enough to withstand another crisis? Is there a risk of policy divergence?
Participation is free of charge.
