On 16 May join us for the Annual CFA Society VBA Netherlands Future of Finance event:
Future of Finance
The Investment Professional of the Future
Join CFA Society VBA Netherlands for the next edition of the Future of Finance series: Investment Professional of the Future, coinciding with the forthcoming research from CFA Institute. The Future of Finance initiative is a long-term global effort to shape a trustworthy, forward-thinking investment profession that better serves society. We invite you to join us in this effort and share your views!
Investment Professional of the Future will examine career paths for professionals working in the investment industry globally. It is the third in a series of reports for current and future investment leaders. In Future State of the Investment Profession, four scenarios were outlined to describe the influences on the industry in the next 5-10 years, and in Investment Firm of the Future these were applied more directly to the functional areas of investment firms. Now, Investment Professional of the Future describes the role that individuals will play in shaping that future amidst significant industry change.
During the first part of the session, Rebecca Fender, head of the Future of Finance initiative at the CFA Institute, will present the results of the May 2019 Report on the Future of Finance focusing on the Investment Professional of the Future. This report will complete the series by providing a deeper analysis of career paths for professionals working in the investment industry. Hot off the press, Rebecca will discuss the key themes from the report by questioning what roles will be most valuable to the industry, what career paths will be most adaptable and what organizations will be most effective.
Next we will hear from Angelien Kemna, non-executive director at AXA, former CFRO at APG and member of the CFA Institute Future of Finance Advisory Council, about her view on the results of the report and the future of careers in the industry. Our moderator, Rani Piputri, CFA, Head of Automated Intelligence Investing at NN IP, and former board member of the CFA Society VBA Netherlands, will interview Angelien about her own career. Angelien will share her insights into where she thinks investment profession is headed and how you can position yourself and adapt your skill-set for the industry disruption to come.
We will finish the program with an interactive session hosted by Rebecca where we invite you to join the discussion and share your views. We are very interested in hearing which industry challenges you are facing and what skills you require to cope with these challenges.
