To measure is to know

Event Description

The Responsible Investment Committee invites you to:

To measure is to know
The role of data in ESG & impact investing

ESG investing is in a rapid evolution. Companies and investment managers are asked for more disclosure on ESG performance and impact targets. Integrating ESG information into your investment processes and reporting is becoming increasingly standard for investment firms. ESG and impact data are playing a new and important role. Evidence of this is the number of new data providers popping up in this interesting field. But where the objective of all these data providers is to bring more transparency and information to investment professionals, they also bring new complexities. How do you deal for example with conflicting data, the lack of standardization or the still too limited coverage of impact measures?

With inspiring speakers from, among others, PGGM, Util, Investec Asset Management, NN IP, Actiam and RepRisk, we will explore the added value of ESG and impact data. We will also discuss with leading asset managers in this field the shortcomings and challenges of the use of data. We will get insights into, for example, what criteria they use for selecting their data and data providers and how they use this data in investment processes and reporting.

After the session you will have more insight into the practical applications of impact data based on examples of leading asset managers and innovative data providers
