It is important that CE activities are recorded in order to keep track of your progress and show proof of your activity to your employer or the regulator. Particularly because with the implementation of MiFID II, continuing education is required by law for investment professionals who give investment advice or inform clients.
As a member of CFA Society VBA Netherlands, you can register the completed CE activities by logging into the CFA Institute website.
Events, readings and other activities offered by CFA Society VBA Netherlands or our education partners can be entered manually into the CE tracker. Eventually this step will be automated. Webinars, articles, events and literature downloaded from the CFA Institute website can be automatically recorded once the activity is complete. All content provided by CFA Institute can also be downloaded, viewed and recorded via a Members App.
CFA Society VBA Netherlands has a local policy for awarding CE credits. This policy is based largely on CFA Institute’s CE Guidebook, with some additional local adaptations. This policy is simple to apply so members can calculate their own credits, it includes a broad range of eligible content to suit our diverse member base, it incorporates local regulatory requirements, and is better aligned with our strategy to raise the bar of professional excellence by including management and communications skills. View the policy here.

Members of the former VBA beleggingsprofessionals will note that their CE history has not yet been loaded into the CE tracking system. We are working with CFA Institute to accomplish this.
