Through volunteering, members have an opportunity to contribute their ideas, talent, and organizational skills to the common goals of CFA Institute and CFA NL. Committees provide a forum for members to develop professional relationships while building knowledge. Volunteering puts you in contact with other investment professionals. It is a great way to gain additional expertise in new areas or gather new ideas in your current area of expertise and to enhance leadership abilities.
All CFA Society Netherlands members and affiliate are welcome to get involved. The Board requests that you make a minimum commitment of 6 months to 1 year to ensure consistency in its efforts to execute programs with the highest standards. Some typical activities in which we are always looking for help are:

The Society asks for a two year commitment to become a board member. This is to ensure consistency and high standards of service. One or two Board positions usually become available each year. Education and Events committees
Education and Events committees are responsible for providing for the educational needs of the Society’s current and future members, and social networking and career activities for the membership. There is no limit to the number of volunteers the Society can use in area.
Education and Events committees organize regular CFA Continuing Education events and cooperate with University and other Partners to co-host or support education or topical events. Activities include identifying the educational needs of the membership and conceiving relevant topics and top-notch speakers to address these needs. Obtaining sponsorship is also essential.
Education team is also responsible for coordinating and managing the Global Investment Research Challenge, the CFA Review Programs (including Mock Exams), reviewing candidates’ scholarship submissions and liaising with University Partners.
Events team enhances the member experience through networking and career events and other member and candidate related activities.

The Membership Committee reviews all membership applications and deals with questions regarding CFA Society Netherlands and CFA Institute membership. It also assists in arranging sponsoring of membership application and acts as welcome wagon to new and prospective members and candidates. Employer outreach entails maintaining and broadening the CFA Society’s relationship and cooperation with the major employers of CFA Charterholders in the Netherlands. Fundraising and sponsorship
This team looks at creating and strengthening structural funding for the local society through developing strategic relationships with employers and stakeholders in the local market. Ethics, Standards and Advocacy
