CFA Research Challenge - Oklahoma Local Competition

Congratulations to the winning team representing the University of Oklahoma!

Team Crimson members Dillon Martin, Noah Andes, Maxwell Reed, and Tucker Hastings prevailed against strong competition from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma City University, and another team from the University of Oklahoma. Team Crimson was aided by faculty representative Jason Turkiela. In addition to winning $150 each along with a trophy the team will advance to the Sub-Regional competition level where they will face teams from the Americas region. Beyond that level the winning teams will compete in the Regional Semifinals, Regional Finals, and ultimately the Global Final against teams from EMEA and Asia Pacific. Congratulations and good luck to team OU!

The CFA Research Challenge is an annual global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Each student will be tested on their analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills. They gain real-world experience as they assume the role of a research analyst. We would like to thank the following volunteers for their help making this a successful event: Faculty representatives: Jason Turkiela, Tally Ferguson, and James Ma; Industry mentors: Debbie Fleming and Chas Craig; Graders for the written report: James Savage, Jacob Willis, Liu Liu, and Susan Williams; Judges for the final presentations: Doug Gray, Michael Gentry, and Sam Jurrens. Without the key support of these volunteers, none of this could be possible.
