CFA Society Pakistan derives its strength from a core team of dedicated investment professionals who volunteer significant time and energy to support the society's mission to promote CFA charterholders as highly ethical, professional and dedicated individuals who stand apart due to their sound expertise and knowledge base. Activities conducted by the Society target to provide forums to the members to interact, share ideas, and keep abreast of new developments in the industry as well as to project them at important forums. Activities have been clearly organized along functional lines, and the responsibility is assigned to each Board member. For bigger projects, the responsibilities are shared jointly.
The Society is registered with SECP under section 42 of Companies Ordinance, 1984. We are a regular filer of Income Tax Return and operate under defined Memorandum and Articles of Association. Elections will take place every three years according to a recent resolution passed by the Board and in the Annual General Meeting. The Board is assisted by an Executive Director and one junior staff has also joined since March 2016 due to the increasing workload. Support is also derived from CFA Institute (CFAI) staff who has strong expertise in advocacy, research, insight on development of capital markets etc. along with media, branding, technology etc.
Active volunteers form the core strength of the Society which help us to achieve our goals whether the target is to organize an event, execute a project, convince a regulator, act as judge in our Research Challenge, conduct a workshop or be a mentor for the new generation. These volunteers at times also decide to join the Board in future and carry the Society forward.
