As an asset class, private equity has been used
for decades to mitigate portfolio volatility, while historically outperforming
traditional asset classes over medium to long term periods. In this
interactive presentation, Ryan Levitt, partner at Pomona Capital and Portfolio
Manager of the Pomona Investment Fund, will cover a range of topics, including
the basic tenants of private equity and its secondary market, how best to
access the asset class and why private equity may be an important piece of a
well-constructed portfolio. Case studies will be used to demonstrate how
private equity managers create value in portfolio companies and why more
investors are looking to obtain greater exposure to the investment
opportunities available in the private markets.
