CFA Journalism Award

The contest is an initiative of the CFA Society Portugal, which aims to promote the quality of economic and financial information disseminated in all media platforms. The journalist author of the article or report that, by virtue of its relevance, clarity or content, has contributed the most to:

  • explain and disseminate the relevance and importance of investment professionals to Portuguese society;

  • expand or consolidate financial literacy in Portugal;

  • whose contribution to ethics in the world of investments and financial markets is the most relevant.

Requirements for participation

To enter the competition, your article must be sent to [email protected] by midnight on November 7, 2021.

It will only be considered if the following information is sent:

  • If the article is written, a copy of the article in a PDF format file with the identification of the author(s);

  • If the article is an audio or a MP4 file; 

  • Indication of the full name of the journalist who wrote the article;

  • Indication of the media that published the article;

  • Indication of the publication date; Indication of the journalist's e-mail and cell phone number;

  • The article cannot exceed 10,000 characters, including spaces. This rule applies only to articles in written format;

  • The report cannot be longer than 6 minutes. This rule applies only to the video or sound format.


Each author may submit no more than two pieces to the competition. In the case of more than two submissions, acceptance will be on a first-come, first-served basis. 

CFA Society Portugal reserves the right not to accept any article that does not meet the conditions mentioned in the previous points.


Jury

The jury will be composed of distinguished members of the journalism community in Portugal and members of the CFA Society Portugal.
