What's in a credit spread? Joe will provide a brief history of the "credit spread puzzle" and why ex-post portfolio returns often do not capture it. This has numerous implications for the short duration credit asset class's risk, return, and application within a broader portfolio. He will also explore the anomaly of high risk-adjusted returns in short credit, the possible behavioral roots underlying it and why he think it's relevant today.
