Robert J. Grossman is a managing director with Fitch Ratings in the Macro Credit Research group, focusing on cross-sectoral credit research. Macro Credit Research regularly meets with regulators and market participants to discuss risks, trends, and thematic issues affecting credit markets.
Before joining the macro credit research group, Bob had co-managed the global financial institutions and insurance groups, as well as the U.S. public finance group. Bob was also chief credit officer and head of the credit policy group at Fitch. Before joining Fitch Ratings, Bob was a senior vice president at Standard & Poor’s, where he co-managed the asset-backed securities group. He began his career at The Chase Manhattan Bank.
Bob earned a BA magna cum laude and an MBA from New York University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
