We support our candidates through a variety of initiatives designed to enrich your experience with the CFA program and to support you in achieving the CFA designation. Registered candidates will be notified by the Society of details for upcoming events.
The Society hosts an annual reception for candidates to meet and network with each other and with charterholders. It’s a great opportunity to hear about our collective experience in preparing for and tackling the exam, what prep courses we’ve used, and even some exam tips that you might not have thought of. It could also be a great opportunity to find a mentor or a study buddy (buddies) to support you in your prep.
Candidates can usually succeed on the exams by studying the CFA Program curriculum readings and mastering the learning outcome statements. Some candidates, however, may benefit from using prep courses and/or review notes. These materials should be used as a supplement, not a substitute for the current curriculum. Click
here for more information on exam preparation providers.
The Society will partner with service providers so that candidates may access supplementary resources at a discount and support their study efforts. Again, these materials should be used as a supplement, not a substitute for the current curriculum. Enjoy a 15% discount on Kaplan Schweser CFA exam prep. Click here for more details.
Mock Exams - Saskatoon & Regina - See home page events
Being prepared for the exam is essential. We strongly encourage candidates to take the practice exam coordinated by our Society to experience firsthand the challenge of dealing with exam questions under actual test conditions. Mock exams are intended to help you highlight your strengths and weaknesses early enough on, and help direct your last few weeks of study.
Post Exam Bash
Finally! You’re done!! It’s time to unwind, vent, eat and have a couple of drinks on us. Please join us after the exam and celebrate your milestone. You deserve it!
Charter Awards Ceremony and Holiday Reception
We encourage candidates to join us to celebrate the festive season and network with each other, charterholders, and new graduates. It could be a good opportunity to meet others in your situation and even help get you thinking about your study plan for the upcoming year.
