CFA Institute Research Challenge (Season 2019 - 2020)

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that offers students the unique opportunity to learn from leading industry experts and compete with peers from the world’s top finance programmes. This annual educational initiative promotes best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis and presentation skills. The Challenge gathers students, investment industry professionals, publicly traded companies, and corporate sponsors together locally, regionally, and globally for a real world competition. Additionally, all participants are introduced to and held to the standard of the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

 How It Works

LOCAL LEVEL COMPETITION is organised and judged by CFA Society Singapore. Each participating university is required to send in one team to compete in the local finals. The winning team will then advance to represent the Society in the Asia Pacific (APAC) regional competition.

REGIONAL AND GLOBAL COMPETITIONS are hosted by CFA Institute. There are three regional competitions: in the Americas, the Asia Pacific (APAC), and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. The winners from each regional competition will advance to the Global Final, where one team will emerge as the global champion of the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
