Christopher Battifarano is GenSpring’s Director of Research having rejoined GenSpring Family Offices in 2015. In this role Christopher oversees the firm’s robust manager evaluation process with a particular focus on alternative investments. Prior to rejoining GenSpring Christopher was the chief investment officer and partner at Palm Equity, a single-family office that he helped develop into a multifamily office during his tenure, which began in 2012. At Palm Equity Mr. Battifarano was responsible for establishing the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocations as well as directing manager due diligence across both traditional and alternative asset classes. Mr. Battifarano originally joined GenSpring Family Offices in 2001 where he served as senior portfolio strategist, spearheading due diligence and manager selection. While at GenSpring, he chaired the Manager Selection Committee and played a contributing role on the Portfolio Allocation and Construction Committee. Mr. Battifarano began his career as an equity research analyst at Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. specializing in wireless telecom research. Mr. Battifarano is a CFA Charterholder, member of the South Florida Society of Financial Analysts and holder of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. He received both his Master and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. He has also passed FINRA Series 7 and 63 exams as well as the Florida Life Heath and Variable Annuities licensing requirements. He is frequently asked to speak at high-profile industry conferences and regularly quoted in a wide range of media including Bloomberg, Barron’s, Investment News and others.


Lawrence Calcano is one of the Managing Partners of iCapital Network where he is responsible for the company’s Investor Network and business development. Mr. Calcano previously was a partner at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he spent 17 years, most recently serving as the co-head of the Global Technology Banking Group of the Investment Banking Division. Prior to Goldman, he was a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Calcano serves on the Board of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Capitol Acquisition 2, a special purpose acquisition company, and Bite Tech, a technology-enabled provider of performance sporting goods. He was named to the Forbes Midas List of the most influential people in venture capital in 2001 (the inaugural year), 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Mr. Calcano received a B.A. from Holy Cross College and graduated from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth as a Tuck Scholar.


Brodi Jackson has more than 17 years of private equity and alternative asset management experience.  She has been an equity and debt investor, managing a $3.5 billion private equity business and originating over $4 billion in loans. Currently, Ms. Jackson is the Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Caerus Ventures a West Palm Beach based venture capital firm.  Founded in 2012, Caerus Ventures invests in Seed and Series A rounds of start-up companies.  The firm is currently investing its first fund.  Ms. Jackson is responsible for general management of Caerus Ventures and is a member of the investment committee.  Prior to Caerus Ventures, Ms. Jackson ran an asset management consulting firm focused on improving financial management for private equity managers including Brookfield Asset Management and Soros Private Funds Management.  Prior to starting her consulting business, Ms. Jackson had a successful career on Wall Street.  In 2006, Ms. Jackson helped start a new business unit within the Merchant Banking division of Goldman Sachs.  In just under three years, Ms. Jackson was integral in growing the business to $3.5 billion in assets under management.  Business initiatives included entity-level investments in real estate companies, a strategic partnership to invest in distressed debt, a core plus separate account and a small cap private equity fund.  Prior to founding Real Estate Alternatives, Ms. Jackson served in Goldman’s Real Estate Investment Banking group, focused on mortgage lending.  Ms. Jackson originated over $4 billion in loans, including the largest stand-alone securitization, Rockefeller Center. Ms. Jackson also advised on the take private of John Q Hammons Hotels. Ms. Jackson served as an Associate Director in UBS Warburg’s Real Estate Private Equity Group, where she worked with the CFO to develop the cash and financing strategy for a $350 million fund and PaineWebber’s legacy real estate portfolio.  Ms. Jackson started her career as a Senior Analyst at Arthur Andersen. Ms. Jackson received an MBA with honors from The Wharton School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lehigh University with a BS in accounting and finance and minor in computer science.


Tom Krasner, CFA has spent over 20 years in fixed income, distressed debt and high yield bonds. He has extensive experience in corporate restructurings, credit analysis, portfolio management and workouts. He is the Co-founder and Principal of Concise Capital Management, a Miami-based investment manager with over $200 million in assets under management, focused on investing in short duration, under-followed high yield bonds. Concise runs a hedge fund, sub-advises a 1940 Act liquid alternative fund, manages separate accounts, and will launch a UCTIS fund in November. Prior to co-founding Concise Capital with Mr. Koach, Mr. Krasner was Executive VP at Harch Capital Management, responsible for restructuring high yield bonds and bank loans. Previously, Mr. Krasner was a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Riverside Capital Advisers, co-managing the short-term high yield portfolio with Mr. Koach. Mr. Krasner began his career at John Alden Asset Management, a $4 bln life insurance company, where he ran a $250 mln private placement portfolio. Mr. Krasner holds a B.A. in Economics/Mathematical Sciences and a M.A. in Economics from Rice University. From 1996 to 1998 he was President of the Miami Society of Financial Analysts. He currently is a Director of Institutional Deposits Corporation and has served on the boards of Birch Telecom, Doe Run Resources, FWT, Nutritek, Sterling Chemicals, and Trism.


Neil Waldman is the founder and managing member of Waldman Capital Management (WCM), a fund of hedge funds primarily focused on long/short equity strategies. Prior to forming WCM, Mr. Waldman was a research analyst responsible for long and short equity investments at Wooster Capital Management (2006-2007) and Fortress Investment Group (2004-2006). Mr. Waldman began his career in 2000 as an investment banking analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners in San Francisco. Mr. Waldman received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1999 and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan Business School in 2000.
