Is the Wind at Our Backs Yet?
FAU's 2nd Economic Forum will take place at FAU's campus in Boca Raton on January 23, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This year's speakers include globally renowned financial industry experts Stuart Schweitzer, Harvey Golub, and John Lipsky. Schweitzer and Lipsky spoke at FAU's 1st Economic Forum in January 2009 along with this year's moderator, Donald Shephard. In 2009, the panel addressed causes of the financial crisis that gripped the global economy and the role of governments and financial institutions in the recovery of financial markets. In 2010, Schweitzer, Golub and Lipsky will address the events that have eased the financial crisis and helped the U.S. regain economic strength. They will also speak to recoveries in developed and emerging markets globally and the influence of global markets on the individual investor.
