MAY 2021 - COIVD-19 UPDATE
CFA Institute has been monitoring the ability to administer May exams in select areas, given the rapidly changing local conditions and has informed us that some exam locations in Colombo, Sri Lanka have been cancelled and will not be able to operate for the May administration of the CFA®️ exam. These candidates have been contacted by CFA Institute today and informed that they will not be able to sit for their May exams. They will be given the option to defer their exams to the November 2021 testing window and are not required to take any action until they receive the next email from CFA Institute in a few days’ time with instructions.
Candidates whose exams have been twice cancelled because of COVID-19 may be eligible for a refund. CFA Institute will contact candidates directly via email in June if they are eligible for a refund.
Please find additional information about refund, deferral and withdrawal policies here: https://www.cfainstitute.org/en/about/governance/policies/cfa-program-refund-policy
While we understand that you may be disappointed if you were affected by these decisions, we would like to reiterate that they have been taken in your best interest and wish you all good health and safety during this challenging time.
